Dr. Srinivasan “Vasan” Yegnasubramanian is a longtime V Foundation grantee, first receiving the Martin D. Abeloff V Scholar Award and most recently leading a V Foundation Translational Award. He is a Professor of Oncology, Pathology, and Radiation Oncology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he also serves as Director in Health Precision Medicine.
While new therapies are rapidly expanding treatment options for patients, Dr. Yegnasubramanian is focused on an equally important question: how do we ensure every patient receives the therapy most likely to help them? His laboratory integrates genetic, molecular, imaging, and clinical data, leveraging advanced computational methods and artificial intelligence, to better predict cancer risk, improve diagnosis, and guide more personalized treatment decisions. With support from the V Foundation, he is helping build a future in which every patient’s cancer is understood more completely and treated more precisely.
